Sally Kim

Sally brings a love of plants and an interest in forest management to the Gotham Bat Conservancy Board of Directors, where she hopes to integrate wildlife with the urban landscape and narrow the divide between nature and modern development. She received a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Queens College and a Master's of Forestry from SUNY-ESF, where her academic experiences consisted of a winter study abroad at the Galapagos Islands, writing forest management reports, and preparing silvicultural prescriptions, among other things.

Born and raised in New York City, but raised to love nature by two parents who grew up away from the city, Sally strives to find a balance between the halves of our world that seem like polar opposites and to follow the belief that all living things are connected in the ecosystem, including us.
